A great buy
Excellent service, was shipped immediately, well packaged, and for a good shipping price (this is a big plus for us Alaskans). The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that the targets are a little weaker on the edges. I can only assume this is because of the heat involved in cutting (not sure what process they use).Other than that minor niggle, these are great targets and a great buy. Show less

Under $10
You will be hard pressed to find something this good for under this price. However note that these will not last for ever. I believe due to the size and cutting them with the laser the edges are little brittle and therefore will take a chunk out if you hit it there. I did hit this dead center and it left an indention in it.Once again, its under $10.

Destructive test sample
I purchased this specifically because I want to shoot these with high-velocity bullets like .223 Rem. At about 8 bucks, I figured this would be a good test of the steel used to make these, and I would base my decision to buy more on this test.I fired a .223 Rem cartridge by PMC from an AR-15 with a 16 inch barrel at a distance of about 30 yards based on a pace count. The round impacted about 1/2 inch from the edge and left a shallow dimple. I have shot a lot of steel targets, and this bullet, moving close to 3,000 fps barely marked the target.side viewThe depth can barely be measured, and this is from 30yd!!! This is tough steel. I'm sure after being battered by a lot (thousands of rounds) of rifle fire, especially impacting the exact same place, the target would eventually become unusable, but admittedly this is an extreme example, and most steel targets would be perforated or heavily scarred from a fast moving bullet fired this close.Remember that heat, mainly from bullet velocity and not simply bullet energy is what damages steel targets. Big heavy bullets will send the target flying, but not leave a scratch when you go to pick it up. lightweight, fast moving bullets are the biggest threat to target steel. This steel is as good as I've seen based on this test.

Great Product!!!
I purchased the 3", 4", and 6" steel targets in 1/2" thickness. The products arrived in about a week in a nicely padded package which protected them during shipping. It was such a treat to shoot steel after using paper targets all these years. We mainly used .22lr on the targets as we had a new rifle to try out but we also put 60 or so .223 into the targets without issue at 100+ yards; just takes the paint off (and a tiny dimple marks which could just be accumulated paint coming off) which is good so you can actually still see your grouping and make any adjustments as necessary. We spray painted them white which provided really good contrast with the black cross-hairs on the scope, a red dot sight was used as well.As we will have shooters of all skill levels coming over to shoot we will surely be investing in more targets in the near future to further develop our skills. Instead of experimenting with brand "x" I will go with what I know works.

Looks good enough to shoot
Shootingtargets7 uses super fast shipping, USPS delivered 5 days ahead of expected delivery date good job. But these targets have laser cut damage near the neck, probably because they are small in size. My other 6in target from shootingtargets7 has no damage. Also they have rust on them, because these are unpainted.

Heavy duty.
I purchased several of the ar500 steel targets in varying sizes along with a stand. They performed like expected. I think they will last me a long time.

I hit one of these targets at 75 yards with ...
I hit one of these targets at 75 yards with a .300 Win Mag and it left no dent what so ever = just a shiny lead spot the size of a quarter. If it can handle a 300 Win Mag it can handle anything you throw at it. As a side note - it threw about 200 pieces of shrapnel into a pile of sand that was located 90 degrees of the target so Please be CAREFUL when shooting steel targets. I will be doing business with this company again as I build my own private shooting range.
