I ordered two of these, (in different colors) one for me and one for my boyfriend for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. Had a shipping issue (fault of the postal service, not the seller) and the seller took care of the issue to the fullest extent. I plan on wearing mine until it falls apart! I put liquid bandaid to keep the knot and hemp string at the end knotted and intact. Im sure you can use clear nail polish or a type of resin to do the same.
