I never owned a BJD doll before, and never meant to, but what drew me to these was the adorable face and the variety of gorgeous, gorgeous clothing. The doll arrived today, and she is all that I hoped for. After looking at other BJDs, I realized that I'm making the right choice. Not only are most of them extremely expensive, most are also either a little too realistic, or fashioned in a kind of artistic, not-quite-human variation. I find both a little creepy (even where the former can be gorgeous when done right, and the latter can be very creative). What I wanted was to focus on the clothing, and this set of dolls, besides being fairly affordable, provided me with just that. The dolls have large eyes, and a serene expression. They are kind of anime, but in a very quiet way, that doesn't distract from their beauty. And the clothing! So much variety, from many eras of human history, including modern. I actually found them with a modern doll (the adorable "Salina"), but decided to purchase "Carina" since she was one of my favorites. Of course, the basic doll can be set up to be pretty much any of the dolls, as long as you purchase the right set. The doll costs about $90 and each set costs $50, so it's like having a lot of dolls when owning just one. I already purchased several alternative sets (including, of course, Salina), and mean to purchase several more, and switch the look every few months. For now, however, I am extremely happy with this variation. The only little issue that cropped up was that I was worried, when placing the wig on, to ruin it since the elastic/rubber is a bit tight and I had to use some force when pulling it on. And here she is, in all her beauty. In the photo, she is reading a book since she's it's required in our house. Who said being a doll is easy? EDITED TO ADD: I also purchased the "Olinna" version since this review. She is just as beautiful and I love them both.

Absolutely love these dolls. BJD at a 1/3 size are usually super expensive but these were the only ones I could find at a reasonable price with this much quality. The joints hold in place well enough to hold a pose for display and the only thing I wish it had was better wrist joints. The dolls are all fairly easy to assemble and included extra accessories for hair and shoes, though pretty sure its random for each doll. The only problem there was could easily be fixed myself and it was the eyelashes on one side being left uncut and luckily if I messed up each doll came with an extra set of eyelashes.

New to BJD and this was a great alternative to the Smart Doll and Porcelain BJD, which were $500+. Selina was my first choice but I found Jila on sale for $68 so I bought her instead and regret it immediately when it arrived (review under Jila). Selina is gorgeous! Worth the wait and price. Pros: detailed makeup with precision on her face, finger nails and toes, all joints are easy to bend, hair is soft and silky, comes with an OK stand, the gorgeous details on the dress (embroideries, roses/pearl/bows accents, intact lace sleeves, and that gorgeous headband) and free gifts (I got 2 headbands, pair of comb and mirror, wand, tiara, misc. colorful hair rubber bands). Cons: strong chemical smell (hopefully, this will go away over time), a few smears/dots of black paint/dye/dirt on various part of the body (luckily it was small and in areas that can be covered up with clothes). Highly would recommend UCanaan if you're starting out or just wanted to expand your wonderful collection.

The doll is very pretty, and a good deal for the price point. If you want to get into bjd type dolls without a lot of expense, this is a great doll. Would probably work well for older kids, especially fashion minded kids. As far as the wig, if you use the velcro, one at top and bottom of the hairline, the wig will not fall off. If you didn't get any velcro, you can use wig tape from a hair supply store. My only problem is I did not receive the shoes that were pictured with the outfit, and I chose the doll specifically for the outfit.

My First Affordable BJD and I am Stunned With the quality! Seeing other unboxings, I was nervous but UCannan must have listened to the reviews and buyers over the years as she came in a Beautiful Box, Packaged in a zip, "Travel Bag" unclothed, with face protection. Came with a good quality "Saddle Stand", extra shoes, wig in it's own bag, with hairnet, accessories that come with all of them, etc Accidentally Ordered my Mini me! Haha After unboxing,and got her dressed, she is a smaller version of my myself if I was 20 years younger! Overall, I love her! And highly recommend! I never write reviews so I have to be super excited and pleased to write one :)

OK maybe I bought this for my granddaughter and decided to keep it, don't judge! Such a beautiful doll and the packaging was top notch. Great directions and the hair was really soft. I also love the company name and what they stand for. Plan to get more clothes or make some of my own.

Do not buy. The doll is not well made. Her leg broke off from simply moving her into a sitting position. The seller asked for a picture but then did not respond to my request for a replacement.

The clothes quality is just ok. The scarf was very frayed, and not seemed on the sides. The makeup was not exactly as shown in the photograph. The wigs are a terrible fit and wont stay on the doll, they are very difficult to put on and too tight.

My daughter purchased this doll and she arrived in great condition, no marks or missing parts, great quality. The clothing has lovely detail. Hair is super soft. The only negative is the headband is too big. Would definitely make another purchase.

My little granddaughter was absolutely thrilled when she opened parcel containing this doll. She loves her so much. She now wants more dolls in the same series. Very good quality. Delivery was fast and efficient. Recommended.
