Quality worth the price
I was concerned, as a Doc owner myself, that these would need to be broken in. However, my daughter, age 5, has worn them everyday to school with no issues. They have held up structurally and she prefers to wear these instead of her other uniform approved shoes.

Good buy
I bought these for my 11 year old who wanted platform Mary Jane's but has small feet and cannot fit in womens sizes yet. They are impossible to find on cold size. She loves these shoes and was over joyed when she saw them. They are not platform, but with the thick souls, they satisfied her. They went well with her Alice in wonderland costume. She wore them for several hours in the city while we were on a scavenger hunt and had no complaints with pain. Overall, it was a really good buy.

Great shoes, perfect for school uniforms
Don't waste money and buy cheap kids shoes for schools that require dress shoes. I made that mistake and will never do it again. It is worth the money to invest in Dr. Martens for your kids. They last FOREVER. I just wish they hadn't discontinued the double buckle style. Those lasted my daughter almost two entire school years.

Love it
These shoes look great and well made. They are my daughters’ school shoes. The strap stays on and the sole is solid. I’ll buy it again

fantastic, adorable shoes
I love Docs. They hold up fantastically, they're cute, versatile, and in this case, feminine. Once they are broken in, they are comfortable. My kid loves her Docs, and these are, I think her third pair. She had them in black before. They are durable as heck and stand up to wicked abuse at the hands of my 4, then 5, then 6, and now, 7 year old girl who loves to jump in wet and muddy puddles, crush the heels of her shoes, and otherwise abuse the heck out of them. Docs stand up to this child the way no other brand has. As to fit - I know how Docs fit now that I'm used to them. They run somewhat bigger than you might think, but I knew this. I wear a size 4 UK (37 EUR, supposedly a 6 US womens, 5 men's acc to the shoes). The 37 is spot on, 5 is also correct, but I cannot wear a US 6, so I don't know. I just know what fits my kiddo. My suggestion would be try them on first and get to know the fit, but if that's not possible, maybe a half size down from expected - or buy a size bigger in anticipation of growth. :-)

Great, sturdy shoes
We have always bought Clarks shoes for school but was very disappointed by the quality last year after they fell apart quickly. We paid £38 for these which were cheaper than Clarks and they are brilliant. They haven’t worn down, still remain shiny (despite a 9 year olds wear and tear) and no sign of giving up any time soon. They are slightly bigger but it hasn’t bothered my daughter at all.

Unfortunately too narrow.
Shoes well made and delivered quickly but they were too narrow.

Best school shoes ever.
I bought a pair of these in August 2015. They were a little too big, so my daughter wore them with an insole, which was removed when her feet grew. We live a twenty minute walk from school. Last week she told me that there was a small hole in one of the shoes. The soles still seem really thick and it's possible that the hole could have been fixed, but I bought the next size up instead. I was expecting that they would take a couple of days to break in, and when she insisted on wearing them to school the day after they arrived I carried a spare pair of shoes because I was sure they'd start to rub. They didn't.My eldest is 18. That's 13 years of buying school shoes, and I have never come across any that lasted the way that these do, or that are so comfortable straight away. And because we do so much walking I always buy good quality, so I'm comparing these with Clark's and Start-rite and Hush Puppies, which cost as much and more than these. I just can't recommend them highly enough. I will continue buying them until they stop selling her size or until she refuses to wear them anymore. Right now she's seven, and she thinks they're cool ;)
