New Balance KV610 Y Trail-Running Shoe (Little Kid/Big Kid)

My child wears a 12.5 to 13 in most shoes but I tried the NB on him at a store because some manufacturers are different and I ended up ordering a 13.5 for him. He has a tad room to grow. These are great shoes, they fit nice. Not narrow and not wide. Great traction for our wooded hikes, lightweight, easy to keep laced with the bungee cord laces. If you are looking for a traction running shoe for your tot these are a nice inexpensive pair of shoes.

I love NB because they fit my son's narrow feet well. I love these because they have the strings that don't need to be tied. Its much easier for him because he doesn't have to stop to tie his shoes all the time. The cloth dries fast, which is nice in a wet/rainy environment.

Overall the fitment of the shoe itself is great (12.5) but if you are buying this shoe to utilize the cinch laces look into another product. The cinch laces are too tight and do not allow for extra adjustment past the initial factory set. We are moving forward with the shoes with the addition of other laces. We removed the cinch laces all together - they are sewn into the shoe at the base of the tongue. Hope this helps with your shopping decisions?BH

Shoes fit awesome just as expected!

The tie cinches so tight, even when you've slid the lock open and you're TRYING to stretch it out to put the shoe ON, that you can't even get your foot down into it at ALL! No WAY he could possibly wear it!! Horrible!

They looked nice at the start but are already worn out. A comparable pair of Nikes lasted my son an entire school year, these barely lasted 4 months. Heck the Nikes still are in better shape than these. Not to mention the foot pads never stayed in very well at all. I eventually had to "shoe goo" them in place. All in all, I would not purchase these again.

the size was too small so i had to go up to the next size - the laces are like rubberbands and seemed really tight and hard to get his foot in the shoe - hope the larger size fixes that.

I ordered a pair in wide for my son. Fits perfectly, very comfortable.
