Run a bit small, but otherwise decent socks.
Ordered some for my hubby and for myself. Followed the size guidelines, but found them to be a bit small in the length. We are going on a trip in the fall, so we need some good warm but washable socks. The socks seem well made, and of course black and grey go with everything. This style isn't thick, but it is well cushioned in the heel and sole area. I have returned the smaller sizes and ordered the next size up. He wears 11D shoes and I wear 8 Wide. I took off a star for the sizing guidelines.

Durable socks
These are still working for me many years after purchase. They are my go-to socks for running in weather below freezing. They show zero sign of wear. The above-the-ankle cut works well as my running tights go over these and the sock prevents chafing when I zip up my running tights. Would purchase again. I only wear one pair of these socks pretty much down to about 0 degrees and have zero problems.

Quality is Lacking
I've always loved the Swiftwick socks. However, I'm not sure if the quality is getting worse with every Pursuit pair I order, or my toenails are razor-like, but I get a couple of wears out of them and holes start to develop in the toes. This doesn't happen with their Aspire socks. These are all I've run and ridden in for 4 years and am now going to look at other brands.

Favorite socks of a number I've tried over the years
Favorite socks of a number I've tried over the years. Merino wool doesn't stink either which is nice when you're out mountain biking. Modest amount of compression keeps them in place to prevent blisters and they have a little bit of padding in them but not enough to be bulky. I have torn the top of the stitching a bit pulling them over my feet, hopefully it doesn't unravel, but I bought these 4 months ago and worn them quite a few times happily so far.

Buy these socks for cycling -- you will never wear anything else on your feet
This is now the only sock I wear cycling. I am a Cat 4 racer who logs about 250 miles per week during the season. On climbing days when I am up in the mountains, these socks keep my feet warm and dry. On endurance days when I ride in warmer temps down in the valleys they somehow keep my feet cool and dry. I don't understand the science behind them, but I do know I am not focused on my feet and how warm/cold they are. Thanks for such a great product Swiftwick.

The best socks.
Price is all that's keeping me from 5 stars. I've had several pairs of the Swiftwick wool socks. They perform and wear better than any other premium sock I've had. I started with lower sports models for mountain biking but got taller ones for every day use. The wear part is important. Other expensive wool socks I bought have not held up like these.

Best cycling sock for me. Give it a try. I love these socks.
My favorite brand and model cycling socks. Period, end of story. Head and shoulders above the rest. A little pricey but my feet are worth it. I just feel bad for all of those other socks in my drawer with all of the cool colors and patterns. I've worn these in the hot days of the New Mexico summer and they are soft and the breathe and no other sock feels or performs as well. I am specifically speaking to the wool blend pursuit model here. Wish I could find them on sale.

I can't recommend these guys enough
The fit and quality of the sock are superb. I've quickly become a devout Swiftwick devotee, I now own several pairs and these are my everyday work socks.I have larger calves so anything longer than the 4 series is a no go, the Pursuit series has a lot more give than the aspire series though both keep my feet dry all day long. I can't recommend these guys enough.
