Mixed impressions: Rugged build, low price, clunky design, hideous branding
I bought this mat bag for < $10, mostly out of curiosity about the quality of the cheapest bag on Amazon. (Also noting that it’s from a mainstream manufacturer whose products I’ve seen in big stores). To my surprise, the bag is very solidly made from rugged materials. It’s also quite large — I can fit 2 standard yoga mats inside, so it’s fairly loose + floppy for carrying a single mat.Biggest strike against the bag is the band of really tacky, multicolor neon “ohm” embroidery running up the length of the bag. The cut of the bag is forgivable clunky, but the embroidery is just embarrassing.Im guessing this functionally solid bag was meant to be sold at a much higher price point and is being unloaded at clearance price because of its janky looks. If you’re good with a sewing machine and can cover the branding, this is a great piece of gear for the price point — if anything it’s overkill: the size, weight, and construction are more than necessary for something as light as a normal yoga mat — but could be good for a very heavy weight or bulky mat, or even something like a camera tripod.

Well-made and Fits Perfectly!
I was very hesitant to purchase this product after reading the reviews that this bag is too small for standard mats. That is completely FALSE! I wish someone would have provided dimensions in the reviews prior to my purchase...so I am going to share with you:I have a standard Omkara Yoga mat 24 inches wide x 68 inches tall. This bag is exactly 26 inches tall and about 7 inches in diameter. My yoga mat fits perfectly in this bag. It is ever so slightly difficult to close all the way due to the thick, durable material. If you have anything wider than a 24 inch yoga mat, this bag will not work for you.I also found a review that said the pocket is too small. That is not the case either. The pocket size is approximately is 6.5 inches x 7 inches...more than enough room for my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, and a few other items you wish to carry!I am also impressed with the thick, 2 inch strap for carrying....talk about durability! In summary, I love this bag! It is very durable, perfectly sized, and the embroidery is simply stunning!!! Hope this help! Namaste!

Great yoga mat bag!!
The Gaiam Top-Loading Yoga Mat Bag is a spacious bag with plenty of room for a yoga mat , a shirt and towel There is a zippered pocket doe smaller items, such as keys or wallet. The material used for the bag feels more durable and water resistant. The top opening makes it easier to place or remove the yoga mat . The strap is positioned nicely to allow for easy carry. Best of all, I love the chakra symbols that adorn the bag, just looking at them helps to calm.

"Like forcing a roll of caramel into a cardboard tube."
Pros - this bag has a little pocket for your cellphone and/or money, credit cards, ID, etc. Very convenient. Comfortable carrying strap that you can wear crosswise if needed. Very cute embroidery design.Cons - very tight fit with a drawstring closure. The drawstring and canvas bag combo makes it super difficult to fit my yoga mat in the bag if I don't take my time to roll my mat SUPER tight. I have a mat that is slightly thicker than average but is still a yoga mat - it's not an exercise mat or foam mat or anything, and it's really hard to fit it in this bag. Also the canvas fabric doesn't make it easy to slide your rubber/sticky yoga mat in. It's like forcing a roll of caramel into a cardboard tube. I'm always the last one out of the class due to my need to tightly roll my mat and then also squeeze it into this bag. If I didn't pay so much for the bag, I would totally ditch it and get a new, bigger one.

not as big as i thought it would be
i bought this with the giaim tree of life yoga mat. the bag fits, mostly. it doesn't hang out of the top, but the top seal doesn't fully close, which i was dissappointed about. dust and anything i drop could fall into the bag. it would have to be small to really fall all the way in, but still, don't you want your bag to close all the way? when the description said it fits all yoga mats, i thought they meant entirely fits. also, if i dont roll the mat perfectly straight, then it wont all fit in the bag.

Pretty & Functional
This yoga bag perfectly fits my 5mm ProSource Yoga Mat + Youphoria Yoga Towel, when they are rolled together. I'm also able to jam my yoga clothes in the main compartment with my mat so I don't have to bring an additional bag. The fabric is bright, pretty, and feels durable. The strap is also adjustable if you want to do a one shoulder or over the head sort of deal. The pocket is also nifty for your car keys, watch, cellphone, mini deodorant, etc.The bag measures about 25 inches tall by 7 inches wide. If you have an extra wide or tall mat it might be too big to fit.

Beautiful Bag, Not too Short at All
This bag exceeded my expectations; it's made of durable and quality material so I see it lasting a long time. The embroidered chakra symbols are beautiful (I am so glad they're not just ironed on). My mat didn't seem to fit all the way the first time I tried the bag, but then I pulled the ends up over and pulled the drawstring tight and it worked! I chose the drawstring for three reasons: 1. zippers tend to break very easily in general 2. if the drawstring ever breaks, it would be much easier to repair than a zipper 3. drawstrings allow one to add more things to a bag and give a bit more leeway compared to zippers. I saw some reviews complaining about the size of the bag, but I didn't have the same issue. However, if you just throw your mat in there, it will not fit, you actually have to adjust the bag in order for it to cover the mat; it took me less than a minute to figure it out and around the same time to make the adjustment. The bag is not big enough for two mats but there is a small side pocket for storing a cell phone or car keys. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and for the price, I feel like I got a great deal. If I had bought this bag in a small boutique or store that caters to yoga gear, it would have cost well over $50.

Very cool design, roomy
I love this bag because of the beautiful embroidered chakra designs. Very cool! It is also roomy, you could fit a large yoga mat in it. Mine is standard, so it's a little baggy, but that's ok. Heavy cotton canvas material, nice pockets.

Not suitable for a 15mm mat
The packaging and description states that it can hold any size yoga/pilates mat. This is not the case and I'm not happy with it. It can hold a thin yoga mat but certainly not a 15mm mat and I'm disappointed and there is no slack in the material at all. Very pretty bag but unsuitable and I feel very misled. They should revise their description.
