irregular pvc roller, normal cheap foam roller is 10xs better!
I have a normal foam roller that is the same length as this one and it works so much better then this hard, stiff pvc irregular pattern. The random pattern really needs to be consistent with one shape ,because as you roll on it ,the spikes all of a sudden go flat and do nothing where you can't feel anything. So it needs to be all one pattern, not 4 inches flat 4 inches spiked and 4" flat again. Due to the fact that it is missing areas that are flat, right when you are expecting penetration and massage, you get nothing , because the pattern goes away. At least with the soft roller it is all one shape, perfectly round, and you can dig into your muscles. This needs to be one or the other, not mixed. I read complaints and can see where somebody rolling this on a smooth surface , it would get stuck and prevent it from rolling.I'm a big guy at 6'2 250, muscular build ,and I personally prefer the regular foam. I let two women who are petite get on this, and you should have seen their faces showing pain.lol It was supposed to be a gift for the one, and she said NO WAY would she ever use it again, and immediately changed over to the soft foam roller. She didn't even give it 30 seconds , she hated it that much. She's a pretty tough woman at 53 years old. Her daughter is 19, a gymnast, she refused to use it after 1 minute. She did say the good thing it did was crack her back, because it is so stiff. The hard pattern does not bother me, it just does nothing for me , where I can really dig in on the soft foam roller. If this one was one consistent pattern of Nobbies, all the way around, it would be much better like that one called rumble roller, or something to that effect. However, I was not about the shell out 69 bucks for that, being this was a gift that she may not even like. And of course she didn't, lol. I could not even give it to this mother and daughter which the gift was for, they made me take it with me upon leaving. Pretty sad that I could not even give it away, and to send it back would cost me probably 20 bucks. I told her look, just roll on it with your feet for your plantar fasciitis , it should at least be good for that ,and she would not even do that. She said take it out of here, it would just take up space. She normally uses the large medicine ball to roll on, while arching the back. I think the reason why people don't like it, is because all that it is , is PVC pipe, which doesn't give at all, with 1 inch of foam on it. So there really is no rolling relief. If you put a terry cloth towel over a piece of 6 inch PVC pipe, that's about what this feels like. No joke.Save yourself some money ,and buy a $10 white neutral color foam roller. You don't need the irregular pattern on the roller , not to mention the PVC will not flex or give at all. If you are a woman, I can guarantee you will hate it. If you are a man , it will be okay aside from the annoying pattern going flat rt when you need the support. The regular foam roller really is that much better.Sorry for the lengthy review, but I am speaking into a tablet. I also am NOT trying to slam this thing , I am just giving a very accurate direct review. Don't buy it.

This product is simply amazing, after being struck by a car in a pedestrian hit & run incedent, I have long struggled with serious back pain. Now I will not say that when using this product that I experience pleasure. However, I will swear on a stack of bibles that less than 5 minutes using this roller, I experience more relief than six years of physical therapy have done.
